Jung Bong Seog

정봉석, Ph.D., P.E.

정봉석 박사는 캐나다 토론토대학교(University of Toronto) 토목공학과에서 2005년 박사학위를 받았으며, 2009년부터 미국 토목공학 기술사(Professional Engineer, PE)로 활동하고 있다. 현재 부산대학교 공과대학 환경공학전공 겸임교수로 재직 중이다. 

그는 미국, 캐나다, 유럽 및 중동 등 다양한 국가에서 수자원·수환경 인프라 프로젝트를 수행해 왔으며, 디지털 트윈(Digital Twin) 기반의 수리·수질 해석을 통해 수환경 인프라의 디지털 전환(DX)과 녹색 전환(Green Transition)을 선도하고 있다.

Dr. BongSeog Jung received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada, in 2005. Since 2009, he has been a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the United States. He currently serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering at Pusan National University.

Dr. Jung has led and participated in numerous water and environmental infrastructure projects across the United States, Canada, Europe, and the Middle East. His expertise lies in hydraulic and water quality modeling and the development of Digital Twin technologies for water infrastructure systems. Through these approaches, he promotes the digital transformation (DX) and green transition of water and environmental infrastructure.
